Mato Grosso Palace Hotel

Senior Sergao, the General Manager (former Night Manager at the 5 star Belmont Hotel das Cataratas, Iguassu Falls) was truly amazing and super helpful. As indeed was, Elouisa, Elania, Priscilla and so many other nice staff. The views from the 8th floor were incredible over-looking 3 churches and 2 parks. You could see most of Cuiaba from the 8th floor rooms. Paulo was also cool in the hotel shop. The breakfast and evening meals were exceptional and the shower was enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel.

The building and facilities are a little old, but what makes this place stand out is the great team of staff. It feels like everyone really cares about the hotel and doing their job well, and you can see this attention to detail everywhere. The breakfast is also a highlight, with some 10-15 meters of fresh food to choose from. It's fantastic value; you could pay 3 or 4 times as much and not get service as good as this.

Amazing Cuiaba view from the room - request rooms on upper floors:) The rooms themselves are quite spacious and comfortable, albeit a little dated. Good breakfast. Friendly staff - arranged late check out for us at no cost.
